Vienna-based sound artist Zosia Hołubowska collaborates with Mexican bassoonist Sandra Muciño,“ to artistically explore symbiosis as a driving force of evolution – be it through collaboration, love, or mutual aid. Drawing inspiration from the life of lichens, Hołubowska’s new composition seeks to embody the quiet wisdom of these dynamic systems, vital to soil formation yet often overlooked, and to unsettle human notions of what defines an organism or identity. Together with AI-generated sound models, the musicians build porous, ever-shifting sonic structures where bassoon, voice, and electronics braid into something hyper-organic.
