The Viennese band Autor combines post-punk influences with catchy melodies and cryptic lyrics. Formed by members of Pitva, Raw Deal, and Parasite Dreams, and closely connected to the prolific DIY collective Urban Lurk, the group draws on backgrounds in hardcore, punk, black metal, and avant-rock. Ecstatic vocal parts come from front singer Hannah Todt, formerly of the punk outfit Gomme. Their third release, Kommen und Gehen, has just been issued via Contergan Punk. Autor have toured extensively across Europe, earning a reputation for intense, precise, and uncompromising live shows.
