Hui Ye is a China born, Vienna based artist and composer. She works with different media including experimental documentary, video and audio installation, and often addresses the social-political aspect of the act of listening and to examine the fluidity of individual’s social identity, as well as its reflection in technology and sonic culture. In her most recent projects, the subject matter of (digitalised) voice is essential for her research. Hui Ye is co-founder of Mai Ling – a queer-feminist Asian artists collective.
