This year, Wotruba Church will host the festival opening. Alongside the acts already announced, the programme will feature the world premiere of a newly commissioned work. “Clustertract / Luxxx” by Tony Wagner explores the physical and emotional limits of the violin. The composition combines a cultural-historical reflection on the violin as an instrument of secular community and collective transgression with a contemporary perspective on shared experiences of loss. Moving between minimal music and dark ambient, academic inquiry and underground spirit, the composer, producer, and musician connects with the legacy of figures such as Pauline Oliveros and Tony Conrad.
