Waris Rasheed is a Nigerian-born multi-disciplinary artiste, popularly known as AZZI ON THE BEAT. He discovered his talents at a very tender age and has cut his artistic teeth in every dimension of the performance arts. He strongly believes that the arts should be a wheel of change provocateur and this has consistently driven his passion for creating arts that impacts the society rather than just for the aesthetics. Waris is well rooted in African indigenous Dances and a music producer believes so much in Contempo-arising his moves in addressing issues from his Afrocentric perspective.
